Will of Asbury Insley
Sussex Co., Delaware
July 6, 1839


In the name of God Amen, I, Asbury Insley of Sussex County and State of Delaware being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind, memory and understanding blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following. Viz

I give and bequeath unto my brother John Insley the sum of fifty dollars for the purpose of schooling his children and no other use.

Likewise I give and bequeath to Eli Badley and Solomon Russel each the sum of fifty dollars for the purpose of schooling their children and for no other use whatsoever.

I give and bequeath to Edward Insley the sum of fifty dollars which said several legacies or sums of money I will and order shall be paid to the said legates within twelve months after my decease.

I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Insley all my Real and personal Estate not heretofore devised during her natural life and at her death to the heir of which she is now pregnant to it and its heirs and assigns forever, but should the said child die or be miscarried so that my said wife be the longest lives there and in that case my will and devise is that my said wife shall possess and enjoy the said property to her and her heirs forever.

I hereby constitute and appoint Boze Bell my sole Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the sixth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine 1839.
